A Step Back In Time: A Journey To A Day In Colonial Living

Welles- Shipman-Ward House

Enjoy activities that consumed our colonial ancestors’ day: cooking, spinning, weaving, quilting, washing clothes & other daily chores. View colonial tools & try your hand at rope making. Native American technology will also be demonstrated. Watch flint knapping & try your skill at spear throwing using a prehistoric atlatl. Admission: $5.00.

All men between the ages of 16 and 60 are summoned to drill in preparation for attack! Step back in time to watch as a battle unfolds before your eyes. House and Barn tours, cooking demonstration.

HSG annually gives back to the town with this FREE family event attended by thousands. Kick off Glastonbury’s 326th anniversary by celebrating Glastonbury’s rich agricultural history. This fun-filled, family-oriented day includes intriguing colonial-era trade demonstrations, games, crafts and a petting zoo.

Tobacco Shed at the Welles-Shipman-Ward House

Museum on the Green

 Residents of the town and surrounding towns are invited to our annual reception. Light refreshments will be served and the museum will be decorated for the season. All the Christmas decor throughout the museum is for sale and has been donated.
